Since coming to my town to film portions of the documentery, Facing Reality: Choice, Ms. Feldman has kept in touch with both me and my office manager to let us know what was going on and to reassure that her project was going ahead and would not be the hatchet job so many of my friends and abortion care providers were convinced it would be.  

When Rachel was in town, I took her to lunch one day with a group of long time friends, many retired now.  This group, that I have labeled "The Curmudgeons" consists of a teacher of constitutional law, two journalists; a novelist and screen writer; three retired history professors; one retired farmer and english teacher; a retired former Marine, Continental Airlines and FedX pilot; and me, "the local abortionist" and whatever exotic creatures I feel compelled to inflict the curmudgeons on on any particular day.  Sometimes it is a medical student I have working with me, sometimes a reporter, and sometimes a Fox News publisher.  My friends, like my town, are extremely protective of me.  And the day I brought the Foxie news lady, Ms. Feldman, to lunch with the curmudgeons was no exception.

Rachel and I have been exchanging emails since she told me Facing Reality: Choice was to air tonight and Sunday afternoon.  Yesterday I sent her my last Daily Kos Diary.  This was her reply:
